Face to Face – The Greatest Portraits of Our Time

With its new exhibition “FACE TO FACE” PREISS FINE ARTS adeptly makes clear why portraits have become the most important sector of photography today: Numerous works by 13 of the greatest photographers in the world will be on display – all of them masterpieces of portrait photography. World-famous photographs of icons like Mikhail Baryshnikov, Kate Moss, Leonardo DiCaprio, Marilyn Manson, Andy Warhol, John Malkovich, and many more can be seen. The selection of works is controversial and excellently curated. One can find, for example, photographs such as Reap, a skull of crystals that was the result of collaboration between Rankin and Damian Hirst; or an elegant Moss set in the style of the 1920s; or DiCaprio in a relaxed and easygoing moment. The highlights of each artist’s work are exhibited, pieces that interpret the topic of “Portraits and People” in diverse, unique, and unbelievably beautiful ways. Photographic art by Albert Watson, Bruno Bisang, Ellen von Unwerth, Arthur Elgort, Gottfried Helnwein, Nigel Parry, Roxanne Lowit, Michel Comte, Marc Baptiste, Peter Lindbergh, Rankin, Sante D’Orazio, and Mark Seliger will be shown. Each and every photographer of this sales exhibition is the world’s best at what they do. Their works are cherished and sought-after works of art. Numerous exhibitions and publications have been dedicated to the comprehensive oeuvres of the artists.
