This winter, PREISS FINE ARTS invites you to immerse yourself in a bold and dynamic exhibition that celebrates the intersection of art, culture, and identity. Featuring new additions to the gallery’s portfolio, including works by Tyler Shields and Tony Kelly, alongside iconic pieces by Andreas H. Bitesnich, Ellen von Unwerth and Roxanne Lowit, the exhibition creates a rich tapestry of artistic expression.

From the moment you step inside the Gallery, this exhibition captivates. Tony Kelly’s “Smoking Lips” and “Breakup” greet you at the entrance, setting a playful yet provocative tone, while “Sydneys Yellow Eyes” by Guido Argentini lets the viewer reconsider who is the spectator in this Space.

The black room is dedicated to Tyler Shields’ daring and provocative works. They command attention, especially when set against our permanent exhibit in memory of Roxanne Lowit. Pieces like “Gator Birkin II” and “Roadside Assistance” invite viewers to reflect on the collision between primal instincts and human opulence. Shields’ work, often dubbed “Warholian,” challenges perceptions of luxury and cultural values, offering a contemporary take on decadence.

Ellen von Unwerth’s contributions continue the exploration of identity, femininity, and power. From the economic undertones of “Crash: Elle Macpherson” to the rebellious glamor of Christina Aguilera in “Bienvenue”, von Unwerth’s work reminds us of photography’s power to reflect societal shifts while celebrating beauty and extravagance. Similarly, Michel Comte’s strikingly intimate “Carla Bruni, Safe Sex Campaign” captures a raw and human vulnerability, balancing sophistication with social commentary.

David Drebin and Albert Watson add another layer of storytelling to the exhibition. Drebin’s cinematic works, such as “Casino”, evoke a sense of mystery and longing, while Watson’s commanding “David Bowie Mask” connects artistry and iconography in a singular frame. Together, their works highlight the emotional and narrative depth that fine art photography can convey.

Meanwhile, Guido Argentini’s metallic-hued “Gold” and “Silver” Collections radiate sensuality and precision, echoing themes of human form and transformation.

Each space in the gallery offers a distinct atmosphere: a golden-hued sanctuary dedicated to Argentini’s shimmering works, a room alive with Tyler Shields’ audacious provocations, a Winterwonderland with Tony Kelly’s surreal Sujets and a monochrome haven of refined elegance exploring culturally significant moments, transformative changes, and iconic individuals. These curated spaces invite visitors to not only experience the art but also see how these diverse pieces dialogue with one another, offering a powerful reflection of our evolving world.
